Athlicity Announces NIL partnership with University of Florida gymnast Bri Edwards

Gainesville, Florida, January 16, 2023- Gainesville-based fitness apparel company Athlicity.co is excited to announce its first NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) partnership with University of Florida gymnast Bri Edwards, a sophomore from Navarre, Fla and 2022 Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association Scholastic All-American.

Athlicity was founded by four athletes who understand the challenges of balancing athletics, academic, and finances. Their goal of making high-end functional fitness clothing that is also affordable for students came to fruition with an official launch in 2022. The company will provide Edwards with athletic apparel designed to improve the comfort level of training, as well as financial compensation in exchange for an advertising and social media relationship.

Edwards joined the UF Gymnastics team as a scholarship athlete for the 2022 season, with an impressive list of credentials including:

  • Vault champion and all-around runner-up at Elevate the Stage 2021
  • 2021 Florida Level 10 Championships vault runner-up, third on uneven bars
  • 2021 National Level 10 Senior E Championships Qualifier
  • 2020 Florida Level 10 Championships Qualifier

“We are overjoyed to be partnering with such an inspirational and strong athlete,” commented Becky Klipin, a member of the Athlicity core leadership team. “Bri Edwards embodies the type of character and commitment necessary to be a successful athlete and hardworking human. We can’t wait to watch her continue to shine!”

“I am so excited to announce my partnership with Athlicity,” added Edwards. “Their workout gear is amazing quality, and who doesn’t love some cute shorts to make you feel good on leg day?” See more about the partnership from Edwards on her official Instagram account page @itsbriedwards

The Florida women’s gymnastics team began the 2023 season January 6th with a season-opening high of 197.75 for the quad meet win over West Virginia, Ball State, and Lindenwood. They followed up with a big win over #5 Auburn on January 13th.

Athlicity features a line of functional fitness apparel for men and women including sports bras, women’s leggings and shorts, and artistic creations such as their tie-dye series of leggings. This NIL agreement will be the first of many as part of Athlicity’s commitment to student athletes.
